Frank Lloyd Wright Automotive Portrait I

Frank Lloyd Wright was world famous as an architect, but few know that he was a passionate automobile enthusiast. He owned over a dozen distinctive marques and even tried his hand at automotive design. This Historic Portrait is the first in a series by Classic Automotive Portraits celebrating Wright's 150th birthday and showcases one of his favorite cars, a British AC Roadster.

The Roadster was originally photographed by the artist during the Arizona Concours d'Elegance Tour at the David Wright House in Phoenix.

Designed by the architect for his son. the home was saved from demolition and donated to the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture at Taliesin on Wright's 150th birthday.
