Robert "Bob" Diepenbrock
Over the years that I've created Classic Automotive
Portraits, I've met many wonderful owners. Often I
would be invited for a drive or allowed behind the wheel,
and my love affair with classic cars was born.
What I enjoy most about creating these very personal
works of art is capturing and reflecting the passion and
enthusiasm that owners have for their cars.
In 2013 I had the good fortune to acquire a 1936 Auburn 852 Boattail Speedster, and I now enjoy passing along my love of classic cars to others.

The Artists
Cathy "Cat" Beard
As a designer and artist, my love for classic cars springs
from an appreciation for the sweeping lines and beauty
of these rolling works of art.
They're the epitome of "form following function," but also
a reflection of the genius of great designers, such as
Fagoni & Falashi, Saoutchik and Buehrig who transcended
function to create shapes that inspire and lift the spirit.
The image at left shows me in front of "Mavis", my 1936 Mercedes-Benz 500K Special Roadster replica. It's a treat to be driving her and have soccer moms pull up in their vans to ask "what is that lovely car?" I enjoy sharing her with other women who may percieve cars as a "guy thing."
